Data on use of devices (trash cans, busses, sidewalks, parks) is one thing. But what if they start tagging usage with your cellphone Wi-Fi id?
Covid19 tracker:
The current Apple/Google proposal is to have your phone's bluetooth constantly check for other phones in range. If a phone is detected in range, the time and the other phone's ID are stored. If the owner of the other phone later reports coming down with Govid19, then your phone will look for any interactions with that person's ID, and flag them.
The actual GPS location of the contact is not stored. Is this important for privacy reasons? Lots of states are worried
